On Monday, January 24, 2011 the Arts Council of Greater Grand Rapids announced the results of their annual grant process, awarding $15,000 in Operating Support Grants for 2010-2011. Twenty-one member organizations were awarded grants that ranged from $250 - $1,475.

The grants are designed to help nonprofit arts organizations with budgets of less than $1 million. To be eligible, an organization must have an art producing or performing component in their mission and be a current member of the Arts Council.

A review panel examines the applications in a process that rewards organizations for artistic integrity, sound fiscal management, education, outreach and collaboration. Diversity and community service and are also considered.
