Workshops
We have several workshops available with a focus on different grant programs. We offer The Writing a Good Grant (WAGG) workshops that specifically focus on all the funding opportunities we offer: Minigrants, MCACA Grants, Operating Grants and a general grant writing session for those interested in the more global approach.

We are currently working in partnership with the Michigan Association of Cultural Arts Agencies (MACAA) to produce the MasterMind Series of workshops. In response tot eh rising needs and expectations of arts and cultural leaders, MACAA, the Arts Council of Greater Grand Rapids, the Wayne County Council for Arts, History and Humanities and the Crooked Tree Arts Council have designed this new series which helps leaders who want and need a higher caliber of training. Highly skilled professionals have been selected to open their minds and share their expertise.

For info on our current workshops, please click here.

Working smART
These quarterly meetings are designed as forums for our members to come together to plan the workshops and speaker forums that will help them improve their administrative and fund raising capacities. This service is available for members only. To learn more, please call the Arts Council office at: 616-459-2787.

One-on-One Mentoring
Every member of the Arts Council has the opportunity to be helped on a one-to-one basis. This is a service that many of our members do not realize is a very valuable part of their membership. Whether you need help with a new program, writing your first corporate proposal, or you need to make a connection with other professionals, help is just a phone call away. We have assisted members with everything from creating their first budget to mapping out their strategic planning process. For more information regarding our One-on-one services email our executive director, Iliana Ordaz-Jeffries. This service is available for members only.
